EXCHANGE & RETURN POLICY

Not quite right? We want your purchased item to fit you perfectly. You have 7 DAYS from receipt of parcel to decide if you would like to return the item for an exchange or a store credit refund. We aim to portray the product(s) in its truest form – size, shape, colour. Each product’s unique measurement can be found in the Size and Fit tab to facilitate your decision making process. Please check your size and measurement based on product measurement and our size chart to ensure best fit.

Please allow for 20% colour discrepancy as products may appear different in different screen resolutions/brightness/colour. For handwoven fabric, subtle variations in colour, print or texture are the signatures of the human hand. An exchange for this reason will be gauged on a case to case basis.

Currently we only allow exchanges for local PENINSULAR MALAYSIA residents only. Exchanges can be made for a different SIZE ONLY. All other returns from East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak) and international orders will be treated as a return for STORE CREDIT.

Kindly take note of the following:

1.All original garment tags, packaging, and garment bags if any MUST BE intact for product(s) due for an exchange/return. Products returned otherwise will be STRICTLY declined for exchange/returns.

2.Items must be returned in their original condition with all garment tags attached in the branded packaging provided. This is also to ensure that item(s) arrives back to us in a suitable and undamaged state. Returns that have been worn, used, altered or damaged will not be accepted and may be sent back to you and/or a refund refused. Please do not wear any perfume, moisturisers, makeup,deodorant or other substances that will transfer onto the item while trying. Stained or discoloured items will be duly declined.

3.All exchange/returns must be returned in the original Maarimaia delivery box, together with the completed Return/Exchange slip and original SALES INVOICE. These documents are provided with your shipment.

4.Kinly allow us up to 7 business days to process your exchange/return once received. For EXCHANGES, Items can only be exchanged for a different size. If the item is out of stock in the size or colour you have opted for, then a refund via store credit will be processed instead. A one-time exchange/return is permitted per order. Returns will be made strictly via STORE CREDIT. We do not process cash refunds.

5.For RETURNS that are successfully processed, the returns will be made via STORE CREDIT within 5 working days. The value of the shop credit will be the paid price of return item(s), in Malaysian currency(MYR) and credited into your Maarimaia customer account directly. Store credit for international returns are pegged to prevailing exchange rates stated by Malaysian banking and financial institutions. The store credit can be used to make any purchase on our site within 3 months from the date of refund. Unused credit will eventually be voided upon expiry. Remaining store credit after a purchase will remain in your customer account, until the 3 months expiry. Shop credit is STRICTLY NOT exchangeable for cash.

6.All exchanges/returns MUST be delivered using a registered delivery service with TRACKING CODE. Return shipping costs will be borne by you. Original shipping charges and any customs duties and taxes will not be refunded. We recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the items and will be liable for damage to themselves until we receive them at our warehouse. In case of dispute, we also recommend you retain proof of sending. We cannot be responsible for any loss of any item(s) you have chosen to send

7. We provide free local exchange service for customers within Peninsular Malaysia. This means, the shipping costs for the exchanged item will be on us! We are constantly trying to provide a better shopping experience, and are working towards providing a free returns service for East Malaysia & International customers. Orders processed from returns will ship via the standard delivery.

8.Sales/promotional(bought with promotional codes) items are final; therefore not eligible for exchange/refund.

9.Maarimaia reserves the right to decline /amend the exchange/return policy on a case by case basis.

How do I exchange my item(s)?

1.Simply sign into your account and under My Orders , select the order number containing the items you would like to exchange and click on VIEW. You may only exchange for a different size.

2.Click on the “RETURN ORDER” button and choose the product(s) you would like to return.  Then, click on submit. We will then contact you via email with your Return Authorization number and exchange instructions. Alternatively, email customercare@maarimaia.com within 7 days of receipt to advise us of your order number and the reason for exchange. We will issue you with a RMA number via email.

3.Complete the RETURNS/EXCHANGE form that was sent together with your shipment and make your own arrangement to return the items to us through any registered delivery company with tracking number. Please indicate the preferred size for exchange on your RETURNS/EXCHANGE form. Include the RETURNS/EXCHANGE form along with the SALES INVOICE with your return shipment.

4.Check that the product has the original tags and is placed in its original packaging, unworn and unwashed.

5.All returns must be sent back to us within 3 days after the return is initiated (when you received your RMA number)

6.The product is your responsibility until it reaches us. We recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the items and will be liable for damage to themselves until we receive them at our warehouse. In case of dispute, we also recommend you retain proof of sending. We cannot be responsible for any loss of any item(s) you have chosen to send. Use a registered courier/delivery service with a tracking code for added security.

7.Upon receipt, we will inspect and process your exchange/return request and an email of receipt and course of action will be sent to you. Once your exchange is processed, we will send your exchanged products free of charge via standard delivery to the original order’s delivery address.

8.Do note that currently exchanges are valid for orders within Peninsular Malaysia only. All delivery and customs charges will not be refunded. All other east Malaysia & international exchanges will be processed as a refund for store credit.

How do I return my item(s)?

9.Returns may take up to 7 working days (LOCAL) or up to 3-6 weeks (INTERNATIONAL) to get back to us at our warehouse, depending on your location and chosen courier service. After which, refunds made via Maarimaia’s store credit will be credited within 5 business days to your customer account. If you do not receive the shop credit refund within this period, do email us at customercare@maarimaia.com and we’ll get back to you ASAP! Thank you for your patience and understanding

Store Credit

Maarimaia’s store credit is typically credited to your customer account when your returned parcel is completely processed, kindly allow 5 business days for this.

Store credit is strictly non transferable and refundable for cash.

The value of the shop credit will be the paid price of return item(s), in Malaysian currency(MYR) and credited into your Maarimaia customer account directly. Store credit for international returns are pegged to prevailing exchange rates stated by Malaysian banking and financial institutions. The store credit can be used to make any purchase on our site within 3 months from the date of refund. Unused credit will eventually be voided upon expiry. Remaining store credit after a purchase will remain in your customer account, until the 3 months expiry. Shop credit is STRICTLY NOT exchangeable for cash.

You can opt to deduct the store credit for your next purchase at check out. If there is an outstanding amount after the initial store credit deduction, you will have the option to make payment via credit card. Ie: if your product costs RM200 and you have RM150 store credit, you may pay for the outstanding RM50 via our usual payment gateways. The outstanding amount after store credit deduction will be displayed at the total payable during checkout.

If you do not receive your store credit after your parcel has arrived at our warehouse ( check through tracking code provided by your chosen registered delivery company), please contact us through email and we will rectify the situation ASAP! Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

Sale Item(s)

Unfortunately, sale items/ items bought on discount codes cannot be returned or exchanged.

ONLY REGULAR priced items may be returned or exchanged.

I’ve received a faulty product . What should I do?

We are extremely sorry to hear that you have received a faulty product. We would like to sort out this issue straightaway. As soon as you discover a fault, please email us immediately at customercare@maarimaia.com with:

-The order number

-The faulty item’s name and SKU code: looks something like MM16-001BLK

Attached clear photos of the fault from a few angles with description of the fault.

We deem a product faulty based on the following

-Manufacturing fault

-Product delivered is completely different from what is featured online in terms of style,size, and/or colour.

-Please note: Slight colour variance between the physical piece and what is featured on our website may be due to your computer/tablet/phone settings of saturation and brightness. Kindly allow a 20% variance . Handwoven fabrics may vary in colour, print, and texture, which are signatures of the human hand and may vary by piece. Items with delicate fabric may shrink,fade or transfer colour without proper wash and care. In these cases above, it will not constitute as a fault.

All defect cases will be handled on a case by case basis. We reserve the right to determine if a product is faulty or not as evidenced.

Once return is processed, please return the faulty item to us as a return following the usual returns procedure. Once we have received the item, we will issue a refund in the form of Store Credit .We will also reimburse your cost of shipping the faulty item back to us in the form of store credit and your next shipment delivery cost will be on us! Please INCLUDE YOUR SHIPPING INVOICE/RECEIPT with your parcel/ email it to us for us to reimburse your shipping cost.

Please note, customs duties/taxes will not be refundable.
